Celebrate Recovery is a recovery ministry based on biblical principles with a goal to let God work through us in providing His healing power through a Christ-centered 12 step program. This experience allows people to be "changed" spiritually by working through sound biblical
principles.
Celebrate Recovery helps people find God's healing from life's tough addictions like drugs, alcohol, pornography, eating disorders, co-dependency, depression or any other kind of hurt, habit or hang-up.

The Diabetes Support group at Shadowbrook meets monthly to discuss diabetes management through diet, exercise and medication. Come to share your ideas and to learn from others.

DivorceCare

DivorceCare
is not just a program, it is a process that will
enable persons who are going through a divorce
or have gone through a divorce to experience recovery. There
are 13 sessions lasting an hour an a half each.
These sessions consist of a video presentation,
workbook review and a time of sharing. It is an open ended
program that allows participatants to become a
part of this group at anytime. We meet at the Shadowbrook
Baptist Church each Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m.

First
Place is a Christ-centered
weight control program. It has affected thousands
of lives nationwide as it guides participants to
give Christ first place in their lives and to attain
spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically
balanced lives. The class meets on Wednesday
nights at 6:30 PM during certain times of the year.

HOPE Christian Counseling Center

HOPE Christian Counseling Center seeks to provide
Biblically based counseling for the North Gwinnett
and surrounding communities. Our hope is to
aid people as they face the difficulties that often impact their lives. The
center has two counselors working on different days
of the week. This
offers a wide variety of times that will meet your schedule, as well as,
offering counselors with varied areas of expertise to best meet your specific
counseling needs. The Center is subsidized by the church as
a ministry to our community and offers counseling rates below
market prices to make it available to most every
need.

The Service Outreach Ministry performs yard work, general home repair, house cleaning, and other local small home-related projects.
- World Vision

Vision is a Christian humanitarian
organization dedicated to working
with children, families and their
communities worldwide to reach
their full potential by tackling
the causes of poverty and injustice.
Shadowbrook's youth are partnering
with World Vision to help bring
clean water, food, shelter, medicines/clinics, education/schools,
and spiritual transformation to the children and
families in the area of Mwingi-Tseikuru,
Kenya.

CHURCH WELCOMING MINISTRY
- FirstConnect Ministry

The FirstConnect ministry teams make home visits
to first time church visitors. While on
these visits, they deliver brownies and church
information with a warm and welcoming smile.
- FAITH Ministry

On Tuesday nights during the fall and spring semesters,
members of the church gather to visit prospects
and those who do not attend church. Training is provided each
night using the FAITH strategy. “FAITH is an ongoing,
comprehensive (evangelism and ministry) strategy
and process which functions through Sunday school.” For

- Go Night

On Tuesday nights during the fall and spring semesters,
a room is setup with tables and chairs for everyone to come and
write cards and letters to visitors and church attendees. A

DISASTER RELIEF MINISTRY

The Disaster Relief Ministry provides:
- Promotion (promotes awareness and training
opportunities)
- Leadership (trains individuals to work on
disaster relief projects)
- Transportation (provides vehicles to move
disaster relief units to and from disaster areas)
- Workers (provides people to perform the work).

Shadowbrook's middle and high school students use their creative arts talents in the areas of vocal and instrumental music, dance, drama, creative movement & sound and stage management to perform throughout the country. Contact Ann to schedule a performance for your next event.

- Band Concerts

Shadowbrook’s band, “Shadowbrook Station”,
performs concerts in subdivisions, schools, local
parks, festivals, parties, and more. The
band plays contemporary Christian music, hymns,
oldies rock and roll, and more. Contact the
church for CDs and to schedule the band for your
next event.

RECREATION MINISTRY
- Golf Outings

The church organizes two golf outings each year. In
the fall, the outing is held at a local course
and usually involves only one round. In
the spring, the outing is usually an overnight
trip and involves multiple rounds.
- Ladies' Workout

Shadowbrook's workout sessions provide opportunity to improve and maintain fitness levels in a variety of ways while enjoying the company and support of other women. Sessions are usually on Thursday night and last approximately one hour.
- Men’s Basketball

During the winter months, men’s pick-up games are played one
night a week. This format works great for those with busy schedules
and for those who are just looking for some exercise,
good fun, and great fellowship.

In the spring, join us for men’s softball that is part of a
local league.

Upward (www.upward.org) is
a league for 1st through 6th grade boys and girls. Practices
and games take place in the church gymnasium and runs from December
to the end of February.

SPECIAL EVENTS MINISTRY
- Candlelight Memorial Service

Each year around December, Shadowbrook participates
in the Candlelight Memorial Service held at Flanigan’s
Funeral Home. This is a special service for
those who have lost loved ones throughout the year. Call
the church to find out the specific date and time.
- Easter Sunrise Service

Each year on Easter, Shadowbrook holds an interdenominational
Easter sunrise service in Town Center Park in
Suwanee. The
service usually begins at 6:00 AM and includes
live music and several speakers from various local churches.
- Fall Family Fest

Each year on October 31st, the church hosts a fall
festival for families that includes games, food,
moon walks, candy, prizes, live music, a bicycle stunt show, and
more.
- National Day of Prayer

The Annual National Day of Prayer takes place each year on the first Thursday in May. Shadowbrook sponsors this event each year in Suwanee's Town Center Park and begins at 6:30pm. This event begins with the Shadowbrook Station band followed by individual prayers led by many of the area's local leaders.
- Public Servants Luncheon

Each year Shadowbrook holds a Public Servants Luncheon to honor and
serve our local public servants. Firemen, police, and more meet
in our Family Life Center to enjoy a free lunch provided
the church staff.
- Summer Day Camp

Each year in the summer, Shadowbrook provides a
Day Camp for grades PreK-4. Day Camp has a small fee, lasts
Monday through Thursday from 9 – 1:00 each day and involves
Bible study, games, arts, crafts, and much more.

On the 3rd Saturday of September each
year, Shadowbrook
participates in the “Suwanee Day” arts and crafts festival
sponsored by the city of Suwanee
at Town
Center Park. Church
volunteers assist the festival while
wearing Shadowbrook T-shirts. The
church band, “Shadowbrook Station”, plays a concert
in the amphitheatre.

- Vacation Bible School

Each year in the summer, Shadowbrook provides a Vacation Bible School for children who have completed grades K-6. VBS is a free
activity that lasts 3 hours a day for one week and involves Bible study, games, arts, crafts, and much more.
