INTRODUCTION
The Children's Ministry Team at Shadowbrook welcomes you and your kindergarteners through fifth graders with open arms and a wealth of ministry opportunities.
As we serve hand in hand with the Preschool & Student Ministries, we understand our role to be the "stepping stone" between a child's preschool and middle school years.
We believe—
- God made each child wonderfully unique; no two people are intended to be the same. (Psalm 139)
- God has a plan for each person's life, no matter what your age. (Jeremiah 29:11)
- God sent His Son, Jesus, to earth to give His life for us; Jesus conquered death so that we could accept Him as our Savior and have eternal life. (John 3:16, 17)
- Children do not have to wait until they "grow up" to be an example to others of Who Jesus is in their lives. (1 Timothy 4:12)

SCHEDULE
The Children’s Ministry Teams of Shadowbrook welcome you and your family with open arms and a wealth of ministry opportunities. As we serve hand-in-hand between Preschool & Student Ministry, we realize our role as the “stepping stone” between a child’s preschool and middle school years.
We have many opportunities available to children and adults through Kid’s Ministry at Shadowbrook. Feel free to visit each opportunity available for you and your children. If you adopt us as your spiritual growth place, we look forward to you, as parents, becoming actively involved in one of the ministry teams.
Sunday Schedule (during the school year)
- 8:15 am Family Worship is available in the Worship Center
- 9:30 am Kid’s Ministry Sunday School classes: 1st – 3rd grades are coed. 4th & 5th
grades are separated by gender.- Adult Sunday School or Worship is available.
- 10:45 am Kid’s Worship occurs on the same floor as Kid’s Ministry Sunday School.
- Children are escorted from their Sunday School class to Kid’s Worship.
- 5:45 – 7:30 pm AWANA Clubs
- Sparks: Kindergarten – 2nd grade boys and girls
- TNT: 3rd – 5th grade boys and girls
- AWANA is also available for preschool children beginning with older 2’s.
The AWANA program features scripture memorization and basic Bible truths children can understand. The program materials assist and encourage parents to actively participate in their child's spiritual development.
Wednesday Evening Schedule (during the school year)
- 6:30 – 7:30 pm § Ultimate Adventure: Kindergarten – 5th grade. This is a program designed to incorporate kid’s choir and drama.
- 6:30 – 7:30 pm § D-Kids: Kindergarten – 5th grade. This is a discipleship program.
VBS
June 7-11, 2010
Saddle up for VBS 2010 where kids will be ridin' the range and roundin' up questions like: "What is God's plan for me?" and "How can I be like Jesus?" At the end of the day, they'll discover that God's Word has all the answers.
Entering Kindergarten Completed 4th Graders are included in Saddle Ridge Ranch. Volunteers Needed: To sign up to help with VBS please contact the Preschool and Kid’s Ministry Office 770-945-1524 Ext. 125.
Centrikid
July 9-11, 2010
Who: 3rd-5th Graders
Cost: $164.00 per camper
Where: Shocco Springs Conference Center, Talladega, AL
Day Camp
June 28 - July 2, 2010 at 9:00am-3:30 pm (9:00 am - 12:00 pm on July 2)
Day camp is for completed Kindergarten– 5th grade.
We will be taking four day trips around Metro Atlanta for Day Camp.
